The Thai Police Clearance Certificate is a document issued to individuals residing in Thailand for more than six months. This document is obtained from the Royal Thai Police Headquarters and certifies that an individual has never been involved in any criminal activities requiring police intervention. You will need this certificate for your Marriage Visa in Thailand as well as for a US Visa, UK Visa and Australian visa for your Thai fiancee.
Tips for Foreign Applicants of Thai Police Clearance Certificate
For applicants abroad, applications can be sent by mail to the Thai Police Clearance Service Center together with the following documents:
– Photocopy of passport
– Also a photocopy of the Thai ID card
– Photocopy of House Registration
– As well as a photocopy of name or surname change certificate, if applicable
– Photocopy of Military Service Document (required for Thai male aged 17 to 19), or
– Certificate of Completion for the 3-year or 5-year Reserve Officer Training (Thai male)
– Photocopy of Marriage certificate or Divorce certificate, if available with 2 photos 1 in x 2 in
– Three sets of fingerprints taken at the local police office or the Thai Embassy
– Envelop with pre-paid stamps including the applicant’s address to mail back the certificate
– Photocopy of passport
– Documents stating the applicant has previously worked or resided in Thailand
– Photocopy of Thai Work Permit, if available
– Two photos 1 in x 2 in
– Three sets of fingerprints taken at the local police office or the Thai Embassy
– Letter of request
– Envelop with pre-paid stamps including the applicant’s address to mail back the certificate
It is important that the applicant has a certified true copy of all the needed documents. For applicants without criminal records or any behavior that endangers peace and order and security of the State.
