If you are going to change a building into a theater then this is what you will need to know about the Building Control Act. This section was added to the law in 2000. The issue was new and the construction of theaters or changing buildings in theaters was never an issue before. Note that this requires a special permit. SECTION 39fourth:

Any construction, modification, relocation, demolition, or inspection of a building designated for theater use must follow the regulations set forth by this Act.

 

SECTION 39fifth:

It is prohibited for a building owner or occupier to use or allow the use of a building, or any part thereof, as a theater without obtaining the required permit from the Committee designated for theater use consideration.

In Bangkok Metropolis:
