Criminal Procedure Code

The Thai Criminal Procedure Code sets out the rights of those who have been arrested in Thailand. This is the Criminal Commercial Code which governs everything from the arrest to bail conditions. Likewise it also covers evidence and the process for the collection of evidence.

Sections 1–95 lays the foundational framework for the entire Thai Criminal Procedure Code. This Code defines the scope and applicability of the Code. The Code likewise sets out the lawful procedures for arrest, detention, search, and seizure. Likewise, ensuring that these actions respect individual rights while maintaining public order. In addition, it governs the rules surrounding bail, pre-trial conduct, and the process of inquiry (investigation) by police officers.
